What is the relationship between the human and the perceived artifacts of our creation? Where is the idea of the human if not embedded in design? There is a complex plasticity at work here. The things we make, make us. It is not so easy to disassociate ourselves, as autonomous, biological beings, from the artifacts, the techniques, and technologies that we believe we create independently, for they have already warped and shifted who we are.
